![]() Select the external hard drive as the location where you’d like to store your Dropbox files and then click the “OK” button. ![]() Next, open the Dropbox desktop application and click the “Settings” icon in the upper right-hand corner and then select “Preferences.” Click the “Account” tab and then paste the link you copied into the “Select which folders to sync” box. From here, you can click the “Create a link” button and then copy the link that is generated. If you just want to move some of the photos from your Dropbox account to your external hard drive, you can do so by selecting the photos you want to move and then clicking the “Share” button in the upper right-hand corner. Once the Dropbox application is open, click the “Settings” icon in the upper right-hand corner and then select “Preferences.” From here, click the “Account” tab and then click the “Choose Folder” button next to the “Select which folders to sync” option. If you want to move all of the photos from your Dropbox account to your external hard drive, you can do so by connecting the hard drive to your computer and then opening the Dropbox desktop application. From here, you’ll be prompted to select where you want to save the files on your hard drive. Once you’ve selected the photos you want to download, click the “Download” button in the upper right-hand corner.
